Linda Kay Fennell Janney went home with the Lord after a fierce battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends, on August 17, 2021, in San Antonio Texas. She was born on December 27, 1953, in Houston Texas. She graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1972 and went to work at Borden Dairy. In 1973 she started her career with Southwestern Bell/AT&T. Her hard work efforts resulted in multiple promotions. Her 30-year career with the phone company began in Houston, Texas and ended in San Antonio, Texas. After retirement from the phone company, she continued to be involved in other business ventures, flipping houses, multiple hobbies, as well as holding a board position and volunteer work. Linda was proud of many things and had a multitude of accomplishments throughout her life. She was proud of her Native American and Swedish heritage and was a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and the Timen Stiddem Society. Here are a few of the traits that made her an extraordinary Godly woman: a Christian, a certified doll doctor, a collector, a manager, a lifetime learner, a committed & loving wife, a restorer, a mother, a grandmother, a great friend & listener, a historian, a researcher, a traveler, an entrepreneur, an animal lover, an interior designer, a hard worker, a great cook, an entertainer, a mentor, a giver, an encourager, a lover of books, an artist, and our family matriarch. She was a seeker of great finds at auctions, flea markets, and estate sales. However, her most treasured finds in her life were her friendships and family. She was loved, respected, and adored by many. She was a woman that lived life to the fullest and she was always in motion. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all those she touched.
She is survived by her loving husband Bill Janney, daughters Rebecca Kay Graham and Chelsea Ray Huff, and four grandchildren Ami, Ezra, Zali, and River. She is also survived by her two sisters Debbie Fitzhenry and Cindy Cicchetti; nieces Robin, Katie, Kelly and nephew Matt. She was also close with her beloved cousins and friends.
