Linda Carol Maglitto

Mrs. Linda Carol (Henson) Maglitto, age 80, of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, May 3, 2023. She was born on January 14, 1943 in Beaumont, Texas, a daughter of Aqullar Marsh and Lillie Mae (Cook) Henson. She was one of 16 children.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother and sister. She loved her brothers and sisters dearly. Family meant everything to her. She married the love of her life at the age of 16 after helping raise her younger siblings. Linda and Joe were happily married 64 years. Being a mom, a maw maw and a great-grandma was a very special blessing to her. She deeply loved all her girls. She was always there for anyone who needed her help.

One of Linda’s favorite things to do was to cook and bake from scratch. Many holidays and family dinners were enjoyed at her home through the years. Cooking for up to 25 people at a time. Days were filled with fun when the family and friends gathered. Being married to an Italian husband, cousins and friends were plentiful. In the younger days, her activities included playing cards, bingo, dominos, slots, bowling, fishing, crafting, dancing/singing while cleaning the house and playing with her granddaughter. Linda enjoyed her life to the fullest.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and many siblings. She is survived by her husband, David Joe Maglitto, her daughter, Linda Ann and husband Marc Jarvis, her granddaughter, Shanda Hamlin and great-granddaughter, Ryelin Hamlin.

She will always be in our hearts and missed by many.

A visitation for Linda will be held Monday, May 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas. A funeral service will occur Monday, May 8, 2023 at 2:00 PM. A burial will occur Monday, May 8, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park.
