

Linda Gail Booker Marthrel was born August 7, 1951, to George Booker JR and Zerline Matilda Booker in Lake Charles Louisiana.
Linda attended Washington High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Shortly after completing high school, she attended Sowella Tech in Lake Charles for clerical business. At an early age Linda accepted Christ. She was a dedicated servant for the Lord. She learned how to play the piano and taught piano lessons. Linda played the piano for several churches in Lake Charles Louisiana. She moved to Houston Texas where she started her career in clerical business. Linda graduated from Phoenix University with a bachelor’s degree in business management in 2009.
Linda joined Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in 1980 where she was a faithful member. Linda was with the children’s ministry, children’s choir, adult fiand women’s choir, Post Office choral choir, hand bells choir, women houses, Come Sunday Morning small group, Lead servant of the S.A.M ministry and most recent a facilitator of Rooted and Grounded where she was planning to start a Fall group.
Linda worked for Firemands Fund Insurance company, Travelers insurance and Zurich Insurance for many years. She was also a MaryKay consultant for over 30 years. Her passion was making people feel good about themselves while smiling with joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents George Booker Jr and Zerline Matilda Booker, brother Kirk Anthony Booker, sister Debra Magdalene Booker. She leaves to cherish her memory of her loving husband of 43 years Robert Marthrel Jr, sister Bertha Johnson of Houston Texas, sister Judy Fuslier of West Lake Louisiana, brother George Booker III, of Lake Charles Louisiana brother -in-laws Billy Johnson of Houston and Darrell Fuslier of Westlake Louisiana. Sister in laws Kathleen Jones and her husband Michael T Jones of Detroit Michigan, Diane Marthrel Crawford of Flint Michigan, Francis Marthrel Hughes of St. Louis Missouri and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
