

Linda Carole Zaleski passed away on Thursday, the 2nd of July 2015, in Houston, Texas at the age of 69. Linda was born in Tyler, Texas on the 20th of August 1945. Linda was affectionately called "Mama Z" by all of her grandchildren whom she spoiled with her heart of gold.
Linda was Chairman and CEO of Data Projections, Inc., a company that she founded with her husband, Bill. Linda's great joy in life was helping deserving children. She was past Vice-Chairman of the School Art Auction Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo from 2011-2014. Linda and Bill received the Diamond Palette Club award and Silver Spurs from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for their generous support benefitting the lives of many Texas youth. Linda also saw to it that her company, Data Projections, Inc., generously donated to Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory. She made sure that every classroom was outfitted with a digital projector and Smart Board. She also employed two children at Data Projections, as part of Cristo Rey Jesuit's work-study program. Cristo Rey Jesuit serves the under privileged youth of greater Houston with a college preparatory education.
She is predeceased by her father, Clarence Harold Dawson and her mother, Juanita Ellis Dawson. She is also predeceased by her granddaughter, Mary Dawson Zaleski. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Bill J. Zaleski, her adoring sons Scott Michael Zaleski, and his partner Patrick Barbin, Billy Jerome Zaleski and his wife Starr, Matthew Alan Zaleski and his wife Piper, her five amazing grandchildren Will Zaleski, Cate Zaleski, Caroline Zaleski, Miller Zaleski, and Jeb Zaleski.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Linda and Bill's niece, Rhonda Gelner, Linda's cousin, Peggy Marcketta, and Alicia Sanchez.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock in the afternoon to seven o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 7th of July in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where recitation of the Holy Rosary is to commence at seven o'clock in the evening, presided by the Rev. Flavio Bravo, S.J. Rector of the Houston Jesuit Community.
The funeral mass is to be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 8th of July, at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc in Hedwig Village, where the Rev. Flavio Bravo, S.J. is to officiate. The rite of committal and interment is to follow, via an escorted cortege at Glenwood Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Will Zaleski, Jeb Zaleski, Michael Gelner, Chad Farquhar, Brian Farquhar, David Bledsoe and Nathan Zaleski.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family respectfully requests contributions to the School Art Auction Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo or Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory School of Houston.
