

Sunset has fallen on LISA ANN JEAN. She entered heaven’s gates on April 23, 2022. Lisa was born in Houston, Texas, to her loving parents, Joycie Malveaux Jean and Preston Jean on August 12, 1970. She was the second child of two siblings; she had an older brother, Darrell.
Lisa attended school at St. Pius X. She did not marry, instead, she spent her years dedicated to the advancement of Furr High School. Mirroring St. Elizabeth, whom she was named after, Lisa gave back to the community achieving this through her various personable qualities. Lisa had a deep passion for supporting special needs children; at Furr, she was able to be their guide. She left a significantly positive impact on the lives she touched, an impact filled by her unfaltering strength, compassion, and patience. With unwavering faith in God, just as her parents had, Lisa’s pure spirit shined brightly on all she encountered.
Throughout her life, Lisa also made it her mission to connect with family and retain the knowledge of the Malveaux Jean ancestral lineage. With her strong purpose equipped with a sharp and remarkable mind, Lisa was able to mentally record family knowledge from decades beyond. She was in touch with her ancestral roots and how tall the family tree has sprouted, serving as a connection from the past to the present.
Lisa was preceded in death by her proud parents, Joycie and Preston. She is survived by her brother Darrell Jean and his wife Gretchen. She is also survived by two nieces and one nephew, Keon Roberson, Kween Jean, and Darrell Michael Jean.
She had a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins that she loved tremendously. Lisa also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
