Lisbeth Anne Smith

Lisbeth Anne Smith (Libbi) lost her battle with cancer February 13, 2022. She lived a beautiful life and will be missed. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Clyde and Virginia White of Athens, West Virginia. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Barry N. Smith of Houston, her daughter and son-in-law, Ryanne and Mat Bishop of London, her son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Gabriella Smith of Houston and her godson, John Cooper of Houston.

Libbi was a people person. She never met a stranger. She had many, many friends all over the world. She was a flight attendant with Delta Airlines for 12 years. After her retirement, she was active in volunteering in hospitals, helping immigrants learn English, and in local schools. She really enjoyed the sun and beach.

She spent a lot of time in the Cayman Islands and the Dominican Republic soaking in the sun. Some of her happiest times were there.

She was a member of the Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.

The family will have a private service to honor her life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society.

Our loss is heaven’s gain. May God bless and keep her.
