She was a 50+ year member of Westbury United Methodist Church in Houston. She was a 1962 graduate of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. From there she worked at Tenneco Oil Company in Houston for 7 years. She also taught P.E. and coached in private Catholic schools in Houston for 5 years.
She is survived by daughters, Kelli Preston and Kaynell Kirk, two granddaughters Haeli Chapman and Sarah Chapman. Lois is also survived by her life partner Kate Shrake.
A graveside memorial service will be held for family and close friends only, at 10 am Wednesday June 3rd at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Frwy. Reverend Danny Yang will be presiding the service.
