

The sun rose in Houston, Texas on July 31, 1931 bringing with it a new day and a new life. Lois Mae Richmond (Webster) was born to Melba Webster (Bishop) and William Webster. Her formative childhood years were spent in Houston, Texas where she attended Booker T. Washington. She united in Holy Matrimony to M. McKinley Richmond. To this union was born seven children.
Born and raised in Houston, Lois was a faithful member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she was a member of their Board and active member of Pleasantville Community Civic League.
She loved traveling, dancing, gardening and cooking. She was Mama Dear and Mama Lois to her grandchildren and Bigge to her close friends.
She loved many and was loved by many. Her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of those she knew and loved and will continue from generation to generation.
Her passing brought sadness to the hears of all who loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory: children, Brenda Tolson (Olympia, Washington), Robert Richmond, Charles Richmond, Harold Richmond, Regina Richmond, Melba Flucas and Marcus Richmond; A beloved sister Faye Ruth Webster; 17 grandchildren, 39 great, grandchildren, 26 great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relative and friends. and a son-in-love Bryan Davis.
