Please accept my deepest condolances on the loss of Loren, an outstanding IP attorney. Although our relationship began professionaly, he became a friend and provided enlightened guidance in all matters. I was blessed to know him and I miss him already. May you find the peace to deal with such a loss.

I had the honor ( and pleasure) of practicing law with Loren ( 1985/88). Loren had a dry wit and a brilliant mind. Like Hamlet, he had a brooding nature, always the introvert, with a thoughtful and penetrating analysis of the issues at hand. He was conservative in his approach to the law, and always kept the best interests of his clients at the forefront of his counseling. In short, he was a "lawyer's lawyer". One could always count on the correctness of his analysis of a problem. A loyal friend, he did me a special favor which I will never forget and for which I am indebted to him. I have never known a finer and more thoughtful person than Loren. He was a positive influence on every person that he knew. WIlliam C. Norvell, Jr.

My memories of Loren go back 44 years when he was a young frat guy dating Becky, my room mate in Nursing School. What a fun time they had and what a great life they went on to create together. Over the years my husband and I were able to share visits with them in Michigan, Colorado, Arizona and Texas. As we were both busy with family and careers, times shared were not as often as we liked, but even if years went by between, when we did get together it was like no time had passed. We truly knew each other and that is a special gift. Loren became an accomplished professional, but he always kept a certain amount of "farm boy" in there. His love of nature, down home values, honest spirit and twinkle in his eye, made him a special person. We were so lucky to have known him.
