Mrs. Humble was born on the 21st of February 1926, in Warren, Texas to French B. Crumpler and Gladys Ora Hicks Crumpler. She graduated from Anahuac High School in 1943 and from the Lydia Houston Beauty Academy in 1944. After graduating from Beauty College, she worked until starting a family in 1949. The rest of her life was spent as a devoted homemaker and mother making these activities her full time career. She faithfully supported and guided her family as a Sunday School Teacher, Cub Scout Den Mother and activities participant in the Boy Scouts of America, where both of her sons attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Mrs. Humble also supported civic work and served in the hospital auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by her parents, the late French B. and Gladys Hicks Crumpler. Her survivors include her husband, Emmett A. Humble; her sons, Deral T. Humble and Keith D. Humble; her grandchildren, Eric Shea Humble, Kelley Linn Humble, and Heather Leigh Humble; and her great grandchildren, Ethan Jacob Humble, and Preston Emmanuel Connor.
The funeral service to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 9th of March, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where Dr. Cecil Rix, Church Elder of Memorial Church of Christ, is to officiate. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent Grand Foyer.
Later in the afternoon, the family is to gather for a private interment service at Magnolia Cemetery of Woodville, TX.
