Lorna Colleen Brice was born on August 12 1936, in St. Andrew, Jamaica to Ernest and Sybil Evans. Lorna was the second child of a family with six children, affectionately known as "Cherri" to her family and friends, because of her sweet disposition. This name has held true all of her life.
Cherri, moved to the Bahamas at an early age of 22 to start her professional life as a Secretary with Barclays Bank in Nassau, Bahamas. She moved on to become an Administrative Assistant for the Jamaican High Commission in Nassau. Cherri was enamored with the beauty and the kindness of the wonderful people in her new homeland.
After spending over 30 years living in paradise she immigrated to the United States, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant to the City Of Sunrise, FL. Upon retiring she moved to the great state of Texas to join her daughter, where she spent the remainder of her life.
Cherri had two children, Jennifer Brice of Klein, TX and Darryl Brice of Miami, FL. Her children were the delight and joy of her existence, she loved them more than one can explain. Apart from the love of her children, she was also a great lover of the English language, and a master at being polite, gentle and humble. Cherri was the sweetest humble giant known to man. She was a giant of kindness, of forgiveness and understanding. There is not a person that had the pleasure of meeting her, who was not mesmerized by her sweet aura.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Evans, mother, Sybil Evans, her husband Anthony Brice, and her two brothers, Audley and Garth Evans.
She is survived by children Jennifer and Darryl, grandchildren, Brianna and Angel. Sister, Claudette Montes, brothers, Cleveland and Ludlow Evans, niece Claudia Valentina, nephews, Nicol Lambert and Kevin Evans; along with a host of wonderful family and friends.
Cherri will be missed by anyone and everyone who has ever had the pleasure of meeting her.
