Louis B. Celusniak died peacefully on February 6, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. He was born to Frank and Pearl Celusniak on February 11, 1915 in Marlin, Texas, where he grew up. He served in the Army for 6 years, 3 ½ of those as a Prisoner of War in the Pacific. He retired from Shell Chemical Company and enjoyed going to his farm in Bremond, Texas.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son, five sisters and one brother. He is survived by Gertrude, his loving wife of 61 years, two sons, Louis Jr. (Susana) and Christopher (Debbie), and a daughter, Mary Hoyt (Peter), six grandchildren, Lisa Carouth (Jeffery), Lynn Blair (Cody), Victoria Cornejo (Jose), Amy Kennedy (AJ), Martin Celusniak and Haley Celusniak, two great grandchildren, Addison Blair and Greyson Carouth.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 5:00 Pm until 8:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM at Earthman Funeral Directors in the Hunters Creek Chapel, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 9:30 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street, Houston, Texas 77007. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Texas 76661
