Louis was a native of Houston, Texas born May 01, 1947. Louis enlisted in the United States Marine Corp on June 2, 1964 and served one tour in Chu-Lai, Viet Nam where he was stationed on the demilitarized zone. Louis never forgot the sacrifices of his fellow marines in battle. He wrote in his First Marine Division, Second Battalion book of a Texas buddy “my friend was killed in battle standing right next to me on my left side. God was with me. Stephens was shot in the neck by a sniper and died instantly. Myself and three other Marines put Stephens in a poncho and ran with him to the helicopter lift for medical evacuation…all hell broke loose again”. Louis served in the Provost Marshall’s Office at Quantico, Virginia until his enlistment was up and was honorably discharged on June 1, 1967.
Louis is survived by his wife of 23 years Kathryn DeMarco. Louis was a loving and affectionate father and had the following children from his first marriage; Michael DeMarco of Tallahassee, FL; Kenneth DeMarco (deceased); Mark DeMarco, Ft Bend, TX; Kevin DeMarco, Spring, TX; Deanna Krzenski, Tomball, TX and Amanda Dent, Hempstead, TX.
“Tony” and Kathryn were long time members of Second Baptist Church, Kingwood, Texas where they had many wonderful friends and acquaintances. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038 with a committal service at 12:30 p.m. at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
