Louis Montemayor, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, and Pepa.
He was born in Houston, Texas on October 2, 1933 to the late Catarino and Trinidad Montemayor. He was a proud graduate from Texas A&M University with a degree in mechanical engineering and later served two years at the Redstone Arsenal in Madison County, Alabama following graduation.
Louis was first employed by Yuba Heat Transfer Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1972, he moved his family back to his hometown of Houston where he was employed by Heat Tran and Thermex. A few years later he started his own fabrication company, Alba/Montemayor, from which he later retired. Louis was also a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
Known for his sense of humor and being a collector of many odds and ends, Louis will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.
He is survived by his two daughters Linda O’Steen and Sylvia Christy (Scott) and son Andrew Montemayor (Kathleen). He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Jason Christy, Trey O’Steen, Cameron O’Steen, Jarod Christy, Jordan Christy (Ashley), Noah Montemayor, Joshua Montemayor, Aaron Montemayor, and Ruby Montemayor and one sweet great-grandog, Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva in 2014 and his son-in-law, Ken O’Steen, in 2016.
