

Mr. Solomon was born on the 13th of November 1928 in Beaumont, Texas. He grew up in the Houston Heights and went to Hogg Jr. High and graduated from Reagan High School. He attended the University of Houston. He was the son of the late Josephine and Charlie Solomon, who preceded him in death, as well as his brother the late, James “Jimmie” Charles Solomon.
He had a dual career, working in both law enforcement and in appliance repair. In law enforcement, he served in Kendleton, Patton Village, and Hedwig Village. He had a career with the General Electric Company for 22 years and with Getz Appliance Center for 15 years. He also had his own appliance repair service business, “Just Service,” which he operated for 17 years.
Mr. Solomon is survived by his wife, Marsha Harris Solomon; his children, Louis George Solomon, Jr. and wife Debbie, James Milton Solomon and wife Pam, Laurie Nadine Boutte and husband Todd, and Theresa Marie Whorton and husband Adrian. He is also survived by his grandchildren, James David Solomon, Daniel Louis Solomon, Michael Joseph Solomon, Candace Brazier, Will Solomon, and Gabriela Bevers; and great-grandchildren, Dorion Solomon, William Daniel Solomon, Angelina Solomon, John Isaac Brazier, and Nehmi Brazier.
The funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 4th of November, in the Proler Chapel of Beth Israel Memorial Garden, 1101 Antoine Road in Houston, where Steven M. Gross, Senior Rabbi of Houston Congregation for Reform Judaism, is to officiate. An entombment is to follow in the adjacent crypts.
