

Louisa Ontiveros passed away on Thursday June 1, 2023, she was 87. She joins her parents Leocardia Tovar & Domingo Torres along with her siblings Jesusa Ortiz, Juan Ortiz, Amelia Ortiz Paulina Torres and a daughter Roxanne who preceded her in death.
Louisa was born in Gonzalez, TX on March 27, 1936, she was the youngest of 5 siblings, as a young child the family moved to Houston, TX. As a teen Louisa join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in the Southern States Mission. Louisa met Lamoni while on her mission, upon her return she dated and later married him in the Mesa, AZ Temple on December 6, 1957.
She was the loving mother of four children, Roxanne (preceded in death), Denise, Kelly (Maria) and Hunter. Louisa had seven grandchildren whom she loved very much Kristen Kol, Emerson, Lauren (Phillip), Mavi, Marisa (Scott), Nicolas & Andrea. She had one great grandson Silas, along with many nieces & nephews.
Louisa served in various church callings, she was a hairdresser for numerous years, she retired from Aldine ISD worked for over 38 years, she was a school bus driver, and a driver instructor.
Louisa took her calling as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt very seriously she loved her family deeply. She loved spending time with her husband, enjoyed attending the Temple, doing family history, working in the garden, reading, painting, quilting, spending time with her family and friends, traveling and going to the beach.
Louisa will be missed by many. Until we meet again.
