

Louise M. Frank died as the result of a hemorrhagic stroke on the 18th of December 2010. Louise McGehee was born in Macon, Georgia on the 16th of May 1924, the eighth of nine children of Nell Smith McGehee and James Thomas McGehee. She married Edwin H. Frank, Jr., in Macon on the 31st of August 1946, and they moved to Houston in 1948.
Louise was active in and supportive of numerous social and civic organizations, and specifically participated in the formation and early operations of Amigos de las Americas and River Oaks Baptist School. She was a committed believer and active member of River Oaks Baptist Church for over fifty years.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin H. Frank, Jr., and sons Thomas M. Frank and Edwin H. Frank, III and his wife Cathy and their daughters Mary John Frank, Catherine Frank and Louise Frank Pennebaker and her husband Drew; her daughter Graham Frank Neuhaus and her husband Edward, and their children, Edward Neuhaus, Jr. and his wife Lindsey, Laura Peterson and her husband Kyle, William Neuhaus and Eleanor Neuhaus; and by one great-granddaughter, Caroline Neuhaus. She is also survived by her older sister Nell McGehee Mathis and her husband Evan, and her younger brother Othniel W. McGehee and his wife, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Louise loved her large family.
Her memorial service will be conducted at three o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 21st of December, at River Oaks Baptist Church, 2300 Willowick Road in Houston, where Rev. Martus Miley, Pastor, is to officiate.
Immediately following the service, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent church parlor.
