She met Joe, a country boy from Hockley, on a blind date set up by her brother Frank who was a fellow Texas A&M student with Joe. That blind date led to a marriage of 68 years. They were stationed in Virginia while Joe was in the Army, but Houston was their forever home. Each neighborhood they lived in produced lifelong friendships. They enjoyed many trips with family and friends throughout the years.
Louise was a stay at home Mom with her children reaping the rewards. She was present for school activities and sporting events. She attended countless baseball games first with her son John and later with grandkids and even great grandkids.
She was an amazing cook. Her spaghetti sauce will never be beat. She belonged to the St. Rose Altar Guild where she baked many a cake. It has been said her cakes were always one of the first to go at the fish fries.
Louise was loved by many and will truly be missed.
