Lucille Walker

Obituary Lucille Walker was born on April 15,1930 in Brazos County. She was the daughter of Van Millican and Minnie Ola Ward.

She attended Brazos County public schools.

On August 22,1948 she married Jesse Welton Walker in Marlin Texas. To this union were three sons and one daughter.

She professed a hope in Christ and united with Palestine Missionary Baptist Church under the late Reverend M.A.Callies where she served on the nursing board. Lucille later became a member of Brookhollow Baptist Church (The Church Without Walls) under the leadership of Dr. Ralph D. West.

Lucille was an active member of the Acres Homes Civic Club where she and others advocated for their community. Lucille also served on the PTA at Mabel B. Wesley Elementary and the Booster Club at M.C.Williams High School.

Lucille departed this life on October 13,2020 in Katy,Texas.

Lucille was preceded in death by her sons Ronald Ray Walker and Welton Walker; husband Jesse Welton Walker; brother M.C. Millican of Dallas Texas. She is survived by two children Sandra Walker and Donald Ray Walker; three grandsons, Blake,Cole and Michael one daughter-in-law Michelle Walker; one son-in-law Prince, and a host of relatives and friends.
