

In the early morning of January 7th, 2023, Lucy G. Salinas of Houston, Texas, passed away from natural causes at age 89. She was born on December 13, 1933, in Bryan, Texas, to Justo and Elvira Gonzalez and graduated from Robstown High School. She lived a long active life, raised a family, and enjoyed her career as an office administrator in the medical profession for many years. In addition, she was very active in her church and did a lot of volunteer time in the print room and the clothing donation charity.
Lucy leaves behind two sons, Daniel Salinas, Paul Dean Salinas (Spouse – Elizabeth Salinas), and a daughter Danette Salinas Pulis. Lucy also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Justin Carlos Salinas, Danna Linda Salinas-Harrison, Paul Dean Salinas, Jr., Gabriella Dee Salinas, Victoria Rae Salinas, James David Pulis, III, and Nicolas Daniel Pulis. She also had five great-grandchildren: Blane Daniel Salinas, Brinlee Corinne Salinas, Carsyn Everly Pulis, Jameson Bodhi Pulis, and Ruby Isabella Harrison.
She is survived by one sister, Yolanda (Gonzalez) Ybarra (spouse -Max Ybarra), and multiple nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Justo and Elvira Gonzalez; her brothers, Ramon Gonzalez and Rene Gonzalez, her sister, Rosalinda (Gonzalez) Garcia; and her niece, Lori Ann Garcia.
There will be a celebration of the scattering of ashes in late Spring or early summer. May God rest her soul and surround her in peace.
