Dear Lucy,  no doubt you and Yolanda are having the time of your lives chatting, crocheting, and catching up on all-things-sisterhood in heaven.  Still, we who cherish your memory never forget.  We love you!  God bless your earthly family and friends!

Dearest Lucy & Yolanda, beloved sisters, heaven-sent, cherished, silly, serious, joyful, sad, hopeful, upbeat, living in God always...

It's been forever since we shared space and yet, my mind's eye sees yesterday in the here and now every time I think of you.  

I remember the love, the laughter, the conversations, the shenanigans (yes!), your facial expressions and mannerisms--- the gift of your presence over the years--- regardless of time gone by, infrequency of communication, and/or distance.  And I miss you.

Know that I love you, that you're in my thoughts and prayers, and that, no matter what I'm doing or where I am, my life is so much richer for having known you.

God bless you and your precious families ever so much, ever so sweetly, ever so abundantly.

Dearest Yolanda, in looking for you (again) online this morning, I was shocked to discover Lucy's obituary.  I am so terribly shaken by her untimely death that I can only offer my heartfelt thoughts and love in support of you and the family, collectively.

Over the years, as I've longed to reconnect with you; so I've  searched online and held onto hope, savoring memories of our friendship, Faulk Jr. High through TSC.  Many, many times my heart has ached to know how you and your sister, Lucy--- gregarious, loving, beautiful, always smiling--- have done for yourselves.  And, not finding you, I've done the next best thing: kept you close in thought and prayer, wishing you good health, true happiness, and much fulfillment in life.

So, this morning, as I searched again, this time trying your dad's name but finding nothing (to glean your surname so I could google it and maybe locate you at long last), I typed Lucy's name in the search box and arrived at the here and now.

Please know, dear friend, that my heart breaks from the loss of your beloved sister, whom I remember with great joy.  She was a force of nature, living life with great exuberance.

And so, I wish you better times.  I wish you love and unity.  I wish you peace, understanding, and all else that you need to somehow make sense of this tragic, senseless loss.  And, if you ever want to say "hello," please know that I'm here, always, ready to embrace you, reminisce, and simply listen to whatever you want to share, happy, sad, and in between.

Lucy, you were an amazing person and I’m so grateful that I got the chance to meet you and work with you. The world is a little dimmer without you in it.  May you rest in eternal peace.

I had previously just known Lucy as my high school friend's beautiful mother growing up, but I recently had a chance to meet her again as an adult. A few years ago, Monica came to town to visit and brought her daughter and mother along when visiting me. I found it charming and indicative of their relationship that it didn't feel like a third wheel bringing her mother along, but that they wanted to soak up every minute of their visit together and having Lucy there made it even more fun. Just like her mother, Monica has that servant's heart and came loaded down with hand-me-down clothes from Alex to give my daughter and had the 2 girls playing together in no time. What I remember so vividly about that wonderful, relaxed two-hour visit was how at ease those 3 generations were around each other. Lucy was absolutely doting and so proud/happy as she watched Monica and Alex play with my daughter. She was incredibly sweet and inquisitive and asking my daughter questions to get her to open up and not be shy--and she just had that fun, funky special grandma energy that drew in my daughter. It was my first time seeing her with adult eyes and recognizing how lucky Monica is to have such a fun, loving, warm and downright interesting mother. She was so knowledgeable about gardening and we instantly connected over our love of hibiscus flowers. I had always expected to see Lucy at one of the hibiscus shows or be able to share a plant cutting with her, because she just made me feel like I'd gained an extra friend during that visit. I am so very sorry at her loss, and all I can say is that she was SO peaceful, radiant and happy sitting at the breakfast table and watching her brood while chatting... it's how I'll always remember her. Prayers to Monica, Erika and Veronica and the extended family.

My Aunt Lucy always greeted me with a warm smile and hug! She was such a caring and thoughtful lady who before my son was born hand knitted a beautiful blanket for him that is one of my greatest treasures today. 

She will be so missed but always be remembered and never forgotten 🙏🏻

You will be missed.  You were a wonderful next door neighbor and we will ALWAYS remember you!!!!  I thank God he put you in our path and we will look forward to seeing you again in heaven!

My dear Lucy Lou, my sister in Christ, I am deeply sadden that we will no longer have our daily conversations. Not only were you a special and dear friend but you were like my second mother. I always asked for your opinion before I talked to my own, and you always told me.. you only have one mother; cherish every moment. Thank you for turning me into sewing, we had some projects pending, and I promise I will fulfill them. Thank you for being such a beautiful soul, I will miss our laughs, our cries, and our chats about our fur babies  but I know you are in a better and safe place. 
To Lucy's beautiful daughters, she loved  you three so much and you and her grandchildren were her Joy! You will be in my prayers and I ask God  to give you strength and peace. 

I miss you Lucy and you will forever be in my heart. 

I never got to meet Lucy in person but talked to her so many times over the phone and emails, she was so very nice and patient when trying to help us through problems with our MV system here in Oklahoma City, my prayers and thought are with the family.

Lucy lived faith!  She believed and put that belief in action!  Even when it was hard to do , she did what God wanted.  She found joy in life. Her grand children, her family—all brought her joy. When she studied The Word, she found joy. When she shared lessons she again was filled with joy.  And she shared that joy. I loved her laugh!
She was my loving Sister in Christ, my friend, my teacher, my student, a fellow mother and grandmother. 
I love you, Lucy!

I was shocked to hear about Lucy. I worked with her for over 20 years. We shared many talks about faith and how it affects us. I know she had faith in her life. 
She seemed to always have a smile. 
I know she loved plants as she had many in her office all the time. 
I am glad that I was able to know her and share time together. 
May God welcome Lucy with a warm embrace and grant her eternal peace. 

God allows people in our life for a reason, and season. Though our time was short, it was for a reason.  As we had become to really know each other, I found her to be a wonderful caring compassionate person, mother, friend and co-worker.  

To the Family- She was a real Christian. Loved God with all her heart.  She loved you all dearly. I can tell by the way she spoke of you. Be lifted in strength that she does not have to suffer anymore. She has found peace. There will be moments you will shed many tears.  There will be times that you just smile at the memories you shared with her. Just know that she will always remain in our hearts forever.

I worked with Lucy over 18 years at ARC. She was humorous and one smart lady who was generous with her time and supportive, whether of work or non-work concerns.  We could always count on her prompt assistance. Lucy, we will miss your light. See you on the other side, lady!

I know Lucy was a very faithful Lady and loved the Lord, 
I've known and worked with Lucy for 10 years. What a joy it was to see her smile everyday. 
 I know that she loved her family so very much, church, gardening and sewing.
She loved to sew quilts and clothes for her grandchildren. 
Her love of gardening showed in our office where she filled it with a lot of beautiful plants.

I haven’t seen Lucy in over 20 years. I worked with her and she always had a smile and a kind word! She was a friend and a great lady! Very smart and devoted to her work and friends!

Our hearts are saddened with the lose of my wonderful and beautiful cousin. It had been years since I saw her! Life has a way of putting you in a path that unfortunately sometimes strays you away from some of your family members. Even though I had not seen her in a while, her memories will stay with me forever.  They are nothing but wonderful memories! She was so nice, funny, and had a huge heart, an awesome and cool cousin! Our deepest condolences to all the immediate and extended family, our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Let's not forget that Lucy was a believer of Christ, so I know where she at, so rejoice people that she is walking the streets of Gold with her family that went before her and welcomed her with open arms.  Love you primita, te extraniamos mucho!

Family and friends of our beloved Lucy, I am so deeply saddened at the loss of this very special lady. I'm so grateful that for 18 years, I got to call her friend!  We had many fun times together, road trips, fishing, crab boils, plays, all kind of parties, etc. She taught us how to make tamales, salsas, and jalapeno jelly. Such a servant's heart, she volunteered for almost every PCC Outreach. I really enjoyed working on the Missions Committee and fundraisers with Lucy.  She loved being in church and fellowshipping with other Christians, as much and as often as the doors were open.
She loved her family, and she was a wonderful seamstress who enjoyed making things for her grandchildren especially.  But also for her favorite dog, Bella too!  If she wasn't up all hours of the night sewing for others, she was out working in the yard, it wasn't a chore to her, it was a pleasure!  I'll miss you, Lucy, so much...I already do. It brings me much JOY to know you are in the presence of Jesus, our Savior.

I was so sorry to hear about Lucy. She was one of my dearest friends. We attended the same church and she was one of my favorite people there. There was a small group of us that went to lunch together after church and we all took some road trips together and shared many laughs. Since the pandemic hit, we weren’t able to keep in close contact but we did keep in touch by phone. 
We are all just so shocked and incredibly sad by the news and I can’t even imagine what Erika, Monica, and Veronica are going through, as well as her siblings and entire family and loved ones.
You are all in my prayers that God’s peace, strength and love will sustain you all. I hope that the knowledge that Lucy was a faithful servant to the Lord will bring you all some peace of mind.
Lucy will be missed and always remembered. Rest in peace, dear friend. You will always be in my heart!
