Luis Carlos Speedon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Luis Carlos Speedon, who left us far too soon on July 29, 2025 at the age of 69.

Luis had a gift for bringing joy wherever he went. Known for his infectious smile, quick wit, and endless sense of humor, he could light up any room and lift the spirits of everyone around him. Never afraid to be a little goofy, he reminded us all not to take life too seriously.

A man with a heart of gold, Luis was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. His kindness and generosity left a lasting mark on all who were lucky enough to know him. Among his greatest joys in life was being a father, grandfather and great grandfather, a role he cherished deeply. His love for his family was boundless, and the laughter he brought us will forever echo in our hearts.

He is survived by his wife, Corrine. His children: Priscilla Speedon Hernandez and her husband Martin, Louis Speedon and his wife Jennifer. Michelle Speedon, Erica Speedon, and Tina Speedon. He was the Grandfather to 16 grandkids : Macey Rodriguez, Raymond Rodriguez IV, Nathan Hernandez, Martin Hernandez III, Joshua Speedon, Elijah Speedon, Victoria Speedon, Mia Sands, Sierra Esco, Robert Esco IV , Bobby Ramirez III, Evelyn Ramirez, Jazmyn Jasso, Ethan Jasso, Arianna Garcia, and Mecayla Fletcher . And great grandfather to 14 great grandkids: Izabella, Aubree, Carlos, Gianna, Julius, Annabella, Natalyn, Milo, Olivia, Orion, Elena, Ezmae, Savannah and Sadie and his beloved cat, Speedy.

He was preceded in death by :

1 daughter, Peggy Sue Speedon (who was right there waiting for him)

2 Brothers : Jesse Fred Speedon and Ismael Brito

Though our hearts are broken, we will carry his love, his humor, and his light with us always.

Services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home- Cypress Creek located at 9149 Hwy 6 N Houston, Tx 77095 on August 8,2025 At 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you share a story, a smile, or a helping hand in his honor. ”
