Luis Alonso Valdez- Hernandez, 82, went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Maria Serrano; children: Rosa Aldana and Neftali, Maria Bautista and Jose, Candida Serrano, Manuel Serrano and Cory; brother, David Valdez; sisters, Haide Valdez and Adriana Campos; grandchildren: Rudy Parada, Gonzalo Serrano, Wilber Serrano, Erick Serrano, Evelyn Quiroz, Edwin Bautista, Vanessa Serrano, Elizabeth Serrano, Pricilla Serrano, Andrea Serrano, Liz Marie Serrano; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Luis is preceded in death by his son, Luis Serrano, grandson, Giovani Parada; son, Luis Serrano. Visitation will be from 10:00 am, Friday, Oct. 29th until 1:00 pm Saturday, Oct. 30th with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm, Friday, Oct. 29th in Brookside Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 30th at Brookside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
