Lupe Rodriguez Garcia

Lupe Rodriguez Garcia, 77, of Houston, Texas entered into rest on May 7, 2019. She was born in Bryan, Texas on June 9, 1941 to parents Ramon and Lydia Rodriguez.

Lupe graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and went on to receive a degree in Business Management from Kilgore College. She was married to Ernesto H. Garcia on April 4, 1974, and together they spent 45 blessed years. Lupe had a career in business management working for Dr. J. Darsey and for M.D. Anderson. She had a passion for knowledge and loved to watch the news.

She is survived by her loving husband Ernesto H. Garcia; sisters Selia Zapata and husband Ramon, Mary Moran and husband Jesse, Martha Garza and husband Kenneth; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lupe was preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Lydia Rodriguez, and her brothers Leo and Danny Rodriguez.

A visitation will be held in her honor on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. inside the Chapel of American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. The Celebration of Life service will commence at 12:00 p.m. after which she will be escorted to the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, where she will be laid to rest.
