Lupe Hernandez, 78, of Humble, TX, went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2021. She was born in Eagle Lake, TX to her parents Domingo and Felicitas Hernandez on November 25, 1942. She was married to the love of her life Richard Rocha Hernandez, on September 3, 1960.
Lupe Received her GED in 1987. She received her License in Cosmetology, from Lakewood Beauty College in Houston, TX. Lupe worked as a cosmetologist and owned her own beauty shop called Cut and Curl by Lupe. She was also a Certified Social Worker for the City of Houston, Harris County District and was a Notary Public. Lupe was a Society of St. Vincent De Paul member and she volunteered at St. Gregory the Great Food Pantry for many years. She also served friends and families in the Kinwood Community for many years by helping them with legal documents of all kinds, taking them to appointments, and translation Services.
Lupe is survived by her daughters, Lucinda Martinez and husband John, of Humble, TX; Mary Alice Stowell and husband Douglas, of Humble, TX; And Lisa Alvarenga of Aurora, Co.; sons, Richard Hernandez III and wife Lisa and family of Barnesville Ohio; Roger Anthony Hernandez of Harlingen, TX; and Reuben Hernandez of Humble, TX.; grandsons, Brandon Ortiz and wife Desera, of Rosenberg, TX; Phillip Ortiz of Aurora, CO; Christian, Conrad and Corbin Stowell of Humble, TX; Garrett Hernandez of Conroe, TX; Anthony Hernandez and wife Aissa of Orlando, FL; and Eric Martinez of Humble; granddaughters, Lori Beth Ortiz, of Humble, TX; Soleil Hamilton and husband Billy of San Antonio, TX; Brandy Lynn Palacios and husband Ricky, of Humble, TX; Erin Kunz and husband Emmett, of Tracy City, TN; Jacqueline Torres and husband Jimmy of Aurora, CO; Felicia Hernandez of Harlingen, TX; Alyssa Hernandez of Conroe, TX; Angelica Martinez of Humble, TX; Julia Alvarenga of Aurora, CO; and Miriam Rose of City Of Oak Ridge North, TX; great grandchildren, Brandon Jr, Tagg and Cade Ortiz, Novelle and Mauricio Hamilton, and Linley Kuntz; her brother, Guadalupe Hernandez; her sisters, Julia Smith, Rosa Hernandez, Katherine Hernandez, and Antonia Mottu; and life long friend, Lidia Velasquez, of Atascocita, TX. Lupe has numerous nieces and nephews and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
Lupe is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Richard Rocha Hernandez; grandson, Joshua Cody Biano; her parents, Domingo and Felicitas Fuentes; and siblings, Dominga Ruiz and Alfred Fuentes Hernandez.
