1926-2017
Lydia, 90 passed on Wednesday, the 8th of February. She was a kind and gentle soul who was a friend to all. She came to America from Aalen, Germany as a War Bride with her daughter, Wilma (14 months) on February 12th, 1948. She was the wife of Sergeant LJ Parker (deceased) who fought in the “Battle of the Bulge” in WWII.
Lydia and Wilma were very close and Wilma took very good care of Lydia for many years. Lydia had four children, daughter, Ursula of Germany, Wilma A. Jones of Kingwood, Christine Wittge (deceased) and George Parker of Houston. She leaves this world with one sister Theresia of Aalen, Germany, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter and many friends.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Brookside Funeral Home from 5 pm to 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Brookside Funeral Home at 2 pm followed by her burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
