Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Henry and Diana Reed, brothers, Lawrence Henry Reed, Lloyd Harold Reed, Leo Max Reed, sister, Lorretta May Reed and first wife of 36 years, Mary Null Reed.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Isabel Vasquez Reed, children, Theresa Reed, Christy Escamilla, Linda Sandoval (Elivaldo), Melissa Rodriguez (Francisco); grandchildren, Taylor Reed, Jordan Sandoval, Elijah Sandoval and Francisco L. Rodriguez and many extended family members.
Lyle served 1 term with the U. S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas Master Mason for over 50 years. He was a local Houston business man and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and gambling.
Lyle enjoyed being a world traveler and sharing those experiences with his loved ones. During his travels he would pick up coins, stamps, figurines and caps to add to his massive collections.
His passion for trains, the Old West, and Cowboys & Indians will leave an everlasting legacy to whom he shared them with.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 6:00 P. M. - 8:00 P. M. at Brookside Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 at 2:30 P. M. at Brookside Funeral Home, immediately followed by the burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
