

Lynda Furry Wells, affectionately known to family and friends as "Gaga," passed peacefully into eternity on May 27, 2025, at the age of 73 in Houston, Texas. Born on July 8, 1951, in Speedway, Indiana, Lynda's life was marked by kindness, creativity, humor, and deep commitment to supporting her loved ones and her community.
Lynda dedicated herself wholeheartedly to the Order of the Eastern Star, serving proudly as a former Worthy Matron. Her thoughtful and helpful nature shone brightly during her service to others, donating countless hours to worthy causes close to her heart. Above all, she cherished her family and treasured her role as grandmother. Gaga adored spending time with her grandchildren Meagan, Gavin, Carter, Riley, and Zoe—always bringing laughter and crafting memories filled with joy and warmth.
With her artistic spirit, Lynda created countless priceless keepsakes. She crocheted beautiful blankets, painted lovely oil paintings, and crafted handmade Christmas ornaments that continue to bring happiness and inspire cherished stories. An avid reader passionately fascinated by Texas history, she proudly amassed an impressive collection of James Michener novels.
Lynda loved to travel, embarking on adventures that brought lifelong experiences and friendships. A connoisseur of good food, nothing delighted her more than gathering with family for a delicious barbecue prepared by her late husband Tom or her son Jason.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Wells, her beloved sister Pamela Baker, and her mother, Carolyn Sue Lattier. She leaves behind to celebrate her life and cherish her memory her son Jason Wells, daughter Carolyn Reimert, daughter in law Sybil Wells, sister Barbara Anne League, and five grandchildren.
Gaga's legacy of laughter, creativity, generosity, and warmth lives on through all those fortunate to have known and loved her. She will be deeply missed and remembered with eternal fondness.
