“Lyndy” as we, the family and close friends called him, knew the LORD! He was a God- fearing man and an ordained deacon. He loved to read the Bible and was a great teacher of the Word of God!
Lyndon received his formal education in the Houston Independent School District and graduated from Waltrip High School in 1983. During his high school years, Lyndon played and excelled at varsity football. In higher learning, he attended the University of Houston and then studied at Greenville University, class of 1987.
Lyndon had an impeccable work ethic (he was a workaholic) He spent most of his career as an Insurance Agent and he also was a spokesperson for the National Kidney Foundation.
Lyndon loved people and Lord Have Mercy that boy could talk!! I believe he would talk to a tree if he thought the tree would listen! He was decent, respectful, loving and giving. He was a funny person that everyone loved to be around. Football, cigars, music, family gatherings, politics and reading were the things he loved to do most. He was a good listener and always wanted to see the good in people.
Lyndon was preceded in death by both parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. He leaves to mourn in his passing 3 sisters, Joanie Carter, Shelia Carter Stewart (Roy) and Andrea Carter. He has 3 god-daughters, Cyne’, Brinae’ and Anae’ Bendy. Lyndon has a host of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
