

Sister Madgelean Loretta Fisher was born January 31, 1939 in Washington, County, Texas. Baby Girl of the late John Robert Ellison and Ruby Phillips Ellison. In the early hours on Sunday, December 17, 2023, Madgelean heard God's call to tranon to life eternal. God called his faithful servant peacefully home to rest. She was preceded in death her beloved parents John and Ruby Ellison, her husband Mr. Cornelius Fisher, Sr. son Daryl Fisher, sisters, Thelma and Ruby and brother Samuel.
Madgelean moved to Houston, Texas as a team and lived with her Aunt Hannah in Sunnyside where she attended school and graduated from Yates High School. She was baptized and confessed Christ at an early age. She attended Ward A.M.E. Church and Mt. Calvary A.M. E. Church under the Leadership of Pastor Howard. God blessed her with the gift of song she used to sing in the church choir.
She lovingly became Madgelean L. isher on June 4, 1956, when she married her only husband Mr. Cornelius Fisher, Sr. and lived in Acres Home in Houston, Texas. They were blessed with five sons. Madgelean remained married to Cornelius Sr., until his passing in 1980. She leaves to cherish her memory and to carry fourth her legacy of strength, courage and perseverance to her sons, Larry Darnell, Cornelius Jr., Michael Jerome and Alton Renard. Daughter in Law, Mary Fisher, Irene Johnson, and Sheila Fisher. A host of family and friends, sixteen grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren.
Madgelean was no stranger to demanding work as she began working as a teen in a Laundry. She worked diligently until retirement years at Intercontinental Airport Marriott Hotel and Air France Airline. She was a beauty with a soft voice that opened her home to many. She loved working with her hands. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and her green thumb could grow anything, and enjoyed fishing, crabbing and playing dominoes. Despite failing health, she maintained a lovely smile.

A visitation for Madgelean will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. Funeral services will immediately follow from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. Immediately following the services will be the committal from 3:40 PM to 4:00 PM at CEMETERY BEAUTIFUL, 8401 Wheatley St, Houston, TX 77088.
