Mae Ida Bruner

As a young woman Mae Ida Bruner was no stranger to hard work she relocated from Navasota Tx, to Oklahoma, to Houston Tx., with grace and style. She was a woman of wisdom who never raised her voice to get her point across, never was unhappy and always humming a toon as she took care of her household. She enjoyed sewing, keeping her hair done, nails painted, cooking, crossword puzzles, flowers, but mostly sharing her family history with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rufus and Sallie Love, her sister Hattie Gilbert, her brother Banks, she will be laid to rest next to her husband Matthew Bruner Sr.

She leaves behind to carry on her legacy of life: three daughters: Shirley Bruner Townsend, Lorraine Bruner Gould, Susan Bruner Salau (Sandra), four sons: Matthew Bruner Jr., Larry Bruner(Joyce), Joe Bruner, Jimmy Bruner, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. A visitation for Mae Ida will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A committal service will occur Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at Paradise Cemetery North, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
