Magdalena Estela Haz Morales

Magdalena was born on May 4, 1934 in Guayaquil, Ecuador to her parents, Luis Alberto Haz (+) and Otilda Morales (+). Her siblings Lucho (+), Bella and Gioconda

She was married to Helio Torres Mayorga (+), with whom she had four children, Helio, Eduardo, Gissela and Antonio.

Her first grandson, Sergio, at a very young age and in return for the love and care he received from Magdalena, hugged her and said: Mia! From that moment on everyone knew her as "Mami Mia".

Magdalena dedicated most of her working life to public and private educational institutions in the city of Guayaquil, such as los "Colegios Republica del Ecuador", "Juan de Dios Martínez Mera" and "La Dolorosa", always standing out for her contribution to the education of the Ecuadorian youth, for which she received multiple distinctions. Magdalena earned the appreciation and respect of her students and co-workers who found in her an unconditional friend and advisor until the end of her days.

Magdalena was always grateful to God because he not only allowed her to see her family grow with the values ​​that she instilled in them but also, for having been able to enjoy the immense affection of her brother and sisters, nephews, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren..

A las 3 de la tarde del 1 de marzo de 2023, en la ciudad de Houston, Estados Unidos, Magdalena Estela Haz Morales, pasó a la presencia del Señor.

Magdalena nació el 4 de Mayo de 1934 en Guayaquil, Ecuador y sus padres fueron Luis Alberto Haz (+) y Otilda Morales (+).

Estuvo casada con Helio Torres Mayorga (+), con quien procreó cuatro hijos, Helio, Eduardo, Gissela y Antonio.

Su primer nieto, Sergio, a muy temprana edad y en retribución al amor y cuidados que recibía de Magdalena, la abrazó y le dijo: ¡Mía!, a partir de ese momento todos la conocieron como “Mami Mía”.

Magdalena dedicó la mayor parte de su vida laboral a Instituciones Educativas Fiscales y Privadas de la ciudad de Guayaquil, como los Colegios República del Ecuador, Juan de Dios Martínez Mera y La Dolorosa, destacándose siempre por su aporte a la formación integral de la juventud ecuatoriana, por lo que recibió múltiples distinciones, ganándose el aprecio y respeto de sus alumnos y compañeros de trabajo, quienes encontraron en Magdalena una amiga incondicional y consejera hasta el final de sus días.

Magdalena estuvo siempre agradecida con Dios porque le permitió ver crecer a su familia con los valores que ella les inculcó con mucho amor y por haber podido disfrutar del inmenso cariño de su hermano y hermanas,sobrinos, hijos, nietos y bisnietos.
