She was married to Anthony Majewski, Sr., on November 4, 1944 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham, Texas.
Maggie, as she was known to all family and friends, was employed by the City of Houston (City Hall) and retired with over 30 years of service. She and her husband Anthony were founding parishioner of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. Maggie was a charter member of the church for 73 years. She was also an active member of the Alter Rosery Society and Women’s Club.
She will be remembered as a loving mother who enjoyed cooking for her family on all occasions and holidays. She always looked forward to cooking Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Her specialties included homemade noodles (kluski) for her grandchildren, enchiladas and desserts. She possessed remarkable patience, was a skilled seamstress, and loved gardening flowers and vegetables. Maggie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother.
Maggie is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann and husband Willie Kubeczka; Janet and husband, Jerome Malota; one son, Anthony Majewski, Jr., and wife Judy; six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by one sister, Hattie Skweres of Brenham.
Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Majewski, Sr., on February 21, 1996 of over fifty-one years of marriage, parents and two brothers, Leo and wife Praxseda and Louis Januszewski and brother-in-law Pete Skweres.
