He was married to Maria Soledad Gonzalez, wife of 51 years.

Manuel was passionate about his grandkids, listening to music, and building things.

He is survived by his children, Jose Manuel Gonzalez, Veronica Gonzalez, Jorge Gonzalez, and Yovana Gonzalez, and his grandchildren, Matteo Gonzalez, Joceline, Clarissa, Valerie, John, Antony, Stephen, Javier, Karina, Kaimelo, Rayanna, Leila, Juliana, and Eileen.
