Marcelina Martinez-Valdes

Marcelina Martinez-Valdes, age 87, of Houston, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Marcelina was born in Cabaguan, Cuba on June 2, 1934 to the late Juan de Dios and Caridad Martinez. She departed on January 13, 2022. She was a faithful Believer in Jesus, attended Church and served the Lord. Marcelina studied at St. Joseph's, she received her nursing degree, and became a Registered Nurse and served for over 30 years. After retiring from nursing, Marcelina began to work in the school district and loved working with kids. She is survived by her loving family, her sister Minerva Martinez and brother Ivan Martinez (Dollie), daughters Maria De Leon (Abraham) and Lisa Ojeda, nieces and nephews: Diana Boyd, Doris Powell, Dalia Martinez, Peter Martinez, Vivian Morales, Hector Martinez, Eddie Martinez, and her beloved grandchildren: Paul De Leon Jr, Manuel De Leon, Mariah De Leon Nick Ojeda, and Holly Moore.
