Marcelle "Marcy" J. Jones Lippman

January 11, 1939 – December 2, 2011

Loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who adore her, passed away suddenly and peacefully December 2, 2011. In her 22 years of marriage to Glenn E. Lippman, they enjoyed attending the Texas A & M games, zebra football official’s reunions, dining out and travels to Hawaii. They attended the First Baptist Church and frequently volunteered with events at the church. Marcy was a dedicated R.N. and enjoyed her career until she retired a year ago in order to enjoy time with her loving husband Glenn, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She found great joy in giving, loving and living a devoted Christian life. Her strong beliefs were a great influence in her family’s lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dillard and Beatrice Jones; sister, Lois LaFaye Jones; brother, Billy Jack Jones and a grandson, Jared Michael Atteberry. Survivors include her husband, Glenn E. Lippman; daughters and their husbands, Hope and Greg Atteberry and Jan and Don Cowles; stepdaughter, Karen Robinson; stepson Kyle Lippman and his wife, Janna; sister and her husband, Doloras and Warren Lisenbee; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Monday, December 5, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2011 with Rev. Rick Jones officiating. Graveside services in the Bedias Baptist Cemetery will follow that afternoon at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in honor of Marcy may be made to the First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024.
