

Mark was known for his strong will, unwavering determination, and for the love and support he had for his family.
Marcos was born to Antonio and Josephine Zavala on April 1, 1954 in Avalon, Texas. He grew up and was a part of a large family. He lived a life filled with devotion towards his family. He will continue to be cherished by his loved ones and the community.
He was a husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.
Family always came first. He enjoyed listening to Tejano music, barbecuing for all the parties, and recently making rosaries.
Marcos is survived by his wife, Rebecca Vela Zavala; children, Mark Zavala and wife Alicia Zavala, Leah Zavala Valdez and husband Jorge Valdez, Olivia Zavala Parra and husband Joshua Parra, and Francisco "Yoyo" Zavala; grandchildren, Bianca Zavala, Jorge Valdez Jr., Vinessa Chloe Valdez, and Marcos Valdez; great-grandchild Gabriel Montalvo, and siblings, Tony Zavala and wife Patricia Zavala, John Zavala, Frank Zavala and wife Renee Zavala, and Joann Vasquez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Josephine Zavala; aunt Amalia Zavala; sisters, Pauline Armenta, Marcy Flores, and Dora Ramos.
