Marcus Roberts

Marcus Roberts, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on June 20, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born on November 26, 1941, in Groveton, Texas, he was the son of John Howard Payne Roberts and Ruby Lena Adams. He is preceded in death by his daughter Tammy. He is survived by his cherished wife of 54 years, Cynthia, his children, John Howard, Paula, Mark, Julie, John ‘Rusty’ and wife Barbi, his grandchildren Deborah, Brandy, and Justin along with several great grandchildren.

Marcus was a dedicated family man. He was a doting husband and a loving father and grandfather. He adored his family and took great joy in spending time with them.

Professionally, Marcus enjoyed a successful career as a small business owner and in his later years delivered essential medication to those in need. He was known for his determination and thoughtfulness.

Marcus had a passion for the outdoors. He had a great love of fishing and hunting, creating countless memories with his loved ones, each one being greatly cherished.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Brookside Funeral Home (13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Brookside Memorial Park (13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039).
