Margaret Ann Gill Creel

Born on January 1, 1945 in Kentwood, Louisiana, Margaret was the beloved daughter of Ollie and Myrtis Gill of Kentwood. Margaret graduated from Kentwood High School and then went to college, completing a degree in Nursing from University of Southwestern Louisiana. Throughout her life, Margaret was known for her kindness, thoughtfulness, sense of humor, and love for her family. She began her nursing career at Methodist Hospital and continued her career at Memorial Hermann Memorial City. Margaret worked for 35 years in the Intensive Care Unit, affectionately known as “Mighty Mouse” by her coworkers.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jack Randall Creel, her daughter Sheri Creel Guyett and her husband Keith Guyett; daughter Traci Creel Biggers and her husband Brad Biggers; her son Jack Christopher Creel and his wife Jackie Creel; her grandchildren Tate Hughes, Remi Fowler, Caroline Biggers, CC Guyett, Avery Biggers, Jax Guyett, Oliver Creel, and Jack Creel; her great-grandchildren Austin and Jace Hughes, and J.B. and Guy Fowler; her brother Fernie Ray Gill; her sister-in-law Barbara Gill; and many cherished family members and friends in Louisiana and Texas.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday October 9th at 11 am at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home (13001 Katy Freeway at Eldridge Road) with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made benefitting research to cure breast cancer or Alzheimer’s Disease.

Margaret will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
