Margaret left Houston in 1951 for San Francisco, where she lived for many years, later moving to Los Angeles, where she enjoyed swimming an hour nightly in her apartment building rooftop pool. She later returned to Houston to care for her mother, and stayed until; her mother’s death. She then moved to Reno, Nevada, living near Virginia Lake, a place particularly special to her. Margaret loved baseball, and was a huge fan of the San Francisco. Giants, the New York Yankees and the Houston Astros.
Margaret is preceded in death by her father, Edgar B. Gay; her mother, Ruby Rogers Gay and her sister, Geraldine Beneal.
She is survived by her sister, Ruby G, Clark and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and her beloved parakeet, Jeter.
The family will privately celebrate her life.
