Margaret worked for the Aldine Independent School District for 28 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, singing in the church choir, traveling, gardening, music, dancing and doing volunteer work.
Margaret is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, Steve Kocian; brothers, Paul, Adam, Tom and Albin Zan; sisters, Clara Tinsley and Martha Hiatt.
Margaret is survived by her loving daughter, Janice Jones and her husband Jerry; grandchildren, Travis Jones, Kimberly Johnson, and Angela Jones; great grandchildren, Jaidyn, Rex, Hailey, Gavin and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, who will all forever cherish her memory.
A Visitation for Margaret will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm at Brookside Funeral Home 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 in the Chapel of Chimes. Rosary will begin at 12:30 pm. Funeral Service will occur at 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Graveside Service will occur at 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
