Margaret K. Lodge

Margaret was an avid bridge player and was a member of several bridge clubs. She loved her family and friends and always enjoyed social gatherings. She was a member of St. Cecilia’s Women’s Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack W. Lodge, founder of Lodge Lumber Company. She is survived by her children John W. Lodge (Janet), Phyllis Smallwood and Carolyn Hooper (Larry); her grandchildren Jennifer Menou, Julie Lodge, Jason Keyser, Lisa Golden, Bryan Smallwood, J.W. Lodge, Eric Lodge, Melissa Lopez, Kevin Hooper, Kathleen Losabia and Morgan Hooper; 18 great-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM in The Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 27, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc Drive, Houston, Texas 77024. The Most Reverend Michael Mulvey, Bishop of Corpus Christi, will be the celebrant. Private family entombment.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Thomas High School (sths.org), the American Cancer Society (cancer.org), Special Olympics (specialolympics.org), Sigma Kappa Foundation (sigmakappafoundation.org) or a charity of your choice.
