Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Mary Lou Vega, Irene Benavidez and Lucy Cano, brother, Gilbert Yanes and her son, Carlos Olvera.
She is survived by her husband, Lupe Nunez, son, Mario Olvera, daughter, Debra Olvera and adopted son, Pete Rocha; bonus children, Elena Brewer and Thomas Nunez, sisters; Gloria Sanchez, Joanne Linden, and Linda Villagran, and brothers; Joe Yanes, Victor Yanes and Joe Morales.
A visitation for Margaret will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 28, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 20000 TX-494 Loop, New Caney, TX 77357, with a committal service to follow at 12:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
