Margie Davis Ford, 102, of Houston, Texas passed away on September 16, 2026. She was born in Houston, Texas on September 19, 1923 to parents Frank Davis and Bertha Beken Davis. Margie graduated from John H. Reagan Senior High School in 1940, and received her RN from Memorial Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1944. She met Johnnie Ford in Houston, Texas in 1946, dated him for 6 months, and they were married on February 1, 1947. Margie worked as a nurse for the Memorial Hospital System for 34 years until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of Heights Presbyterian Church and had a passion for serving others through activities with the church.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie D Ford, her parents Frank and Bertha Davis, her sister Katherine Davis Fillman, her brother William Patrick Davis, and numerous family members and friends.
She is survived by her son Luckie Ford and his wife Cheryl, grandson Russell Ford, granddaughter Ashley Ford and her wife Kimberly, great grandchildren Wesley Ford, Layne Ford, Cody Ford and Mason Hernandez, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Margie loved Texas and everything red, white and blue. Guests are encouraged to wear red, white and blue in her honor!
