We come together to celebrate the life of Margie Espinosa Green. Her love and strength brought joy to all she knew. To love her was to be loved, and that love will live on in each of us she loved so dearly.
Margie was born August 24, 1955, in Kingsville, Texas, to Rebecca and Martin Espinosa. She graduated from Texas A&I University, Kingsville in 1977 with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and was a part of the Phi Gamma Nu Honorary Business Sorority. Margie went to work for BFI in 1982, which later converted to Republic in 2001. Throughout those years, she met so many people along the way who became friends instead of coworkers. She loved her job and everyone there.
Margie married the love of her life Rufus on October 19, 1983 and they had 2 sons, Brian and Christopher. She also had 3 grandchildren, Andre, Vivian, and Benjamin. Her children and her grandchildren were the light of her life. Margie’s family was everything to her, and she spent as much time with them as possible. Margie also enjoyed doing puzzles and playing candy crush.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Rebecca and Martin Espinosa, her son, Christopher Green, and her grandson, Benjamin Green. She leaves behind her husband, Rufus Green; son, Brian Green; grandson, Andre Green; granddaughter, Vivian Green; sister, Yolanda Espinosa; sister, Soila Espinosa Obregan; brother, Sammy Espinosa; and wife, Paula, and a host of other cousins, family, and friends.
Margie's presence was not just felt, it was radiant. She was the kind of person who remembered the little things, showed up when it mattered, and loved freely and unconditionally. The memories she leaves behind are treasures we’ll always carry.
