Maria Magdalena Acosta, age 69, of Houston, Texas went home to be with her Lord and personal Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, September 13, 2021. Maria was born August 11, 1952 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
She will be admired for her strength and determination, she never gave up no matter how tired she was. Maria was a hard working woman with a heart of Gold. She didn’t hesitate to give or help others, expecting nothing in return. A type of person who was always making certain that those around her had whatever they needed. Maria was also a talkative person who was diplomatic at all times but typically said what she meant.
Maria was born and raised in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. She was the daughter of Maria Elsa Cruz and Jose Feliciano Acosta. Maria was raised with three sisters. She had two older sisters Maria and Margarita, and her youngest sister Antonia. During her childhood she enjoyed climbing trees, eating mangos and occasionally fighting with her sisters. Call it sibling rivalries, but honestly they cared deeply for one another. Maria adored and loved her mother. She was an amazing daughter who honoured her mother until her very last days.
Maria was preceded in death by her beautiful mother and father Maria and Jose, and sisters Maria and Margarita.
Maria is survived by one sister Antoina and blessed with four children and is survived in legacy by one son, Alex and three daughters, Laura, Gina and Esly. Through her children she was also blessed with 14 grandchildren, who continue the legacy starting with Kevin, Nyron, Kelvin, Ricardo Jr, Francesca,Victor, Inmar, Ashley, Alek, Erik, Katelyn, Matthew, David, Kataleya and 1 great grandchild Madeline Rodriguez. Maria was a great mother, but most importantly she was the greatest grandmother, she loved her babies unconditionally.
In addition to being the greatest grandmother, Maria enjoyed spending time working on her various hobbies. Most of all her favorite pursuits were serving God. Religion and faith were important to her. She was a member of Torre Fuerte for 14 years. She was well respected because she was such an outgoing individual who sought to help in any way she could.
Maria Magdalena Acosta, strength, determination, love and grace will be missed by those who loved her. But what friends and family will remember her for most is the fact that she was a child of God who served Jesus with all her heart. The physical is gone but the connection still stays strong. She lives on, through her actions that have had a rippling effect throughout her lifetime through her family and friends.
