Maria Anastacia Brown

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Maria Anastacia Brown (Rosas), age 93, was received into her heavenly home by Our Lord on Wednesday, the 22nd of September 2016 in Houston, TX. She was born the 27th of April 1923 in Mexico City.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Brown; and her parents, Eligio Rosas Alquicira and Francisca Alfaro Vega. She is also preceded in death by her siblings in Mexico: Eligio, Gumercinda, Maria Asuncion, Maria de Jesus, Anastacio, Maria Felix.

She is survived by her loving three children and their spouses: Geraldine T. Brown and husband Tommy Joe Walton; son, George Lester Brown and wife Terrilee Brown; son, Lester Eric Brown and wife Esmeralda Brown. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Clint C. Walton, Justin R. Walton, Daisy L. Brown, April M. Brown, Eric A. Brown and Velvet L. Mooney (Brown) and husband Eric P. Mooney; and great-grandchildren: Willow Layne Brown and Barrett Maddux Mooney. Maria is also survived in Mexico by her brothers: Francisco and Jorge; sisters, Juana and Maria Trinidad; and by her very good friends: Bonnie Collins, Dianne Parker, Ana Maria Falchetti and Gesualda Misuraca of Houston and Beatriz Riojas of El Paso.

Friends are cordially invited to greet the family from seven until nine o’clock in the evening on Saturday, the 24th of September in the drawing room of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

A graveside service is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 26th of September at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Avenue in Houston, where Rev. Richard Hinkley, Parochial Vicar of St. Helen Catholic Church, will officiate.
