Maria Mercedes Davis
March 31, 1946 – September 3, 2021
Maria Mercedes Davis, age 75, of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. Maria was born March 31, 1946.
Today is a sad but happy day we are here today to share our time in remembrance of this amazing woman, my mother, Maria M Davis, Born on A year in which the world was changing. With those changes God bless the world with his child on March 31st of 1946.... There are no words that can describe the person for which was my mother. Few things can be said which was loyal, strong, honorable, trustworthy, joyful full of faith, and over all full of love... this woman had love to throw in the air. She shared that love with many including her children and her family.... See everyone that crossed my mother's path was family. And she treated you like so...if it was a joke, or a smile, or a hug, or just acknowledging that you there... she showed it.... many knew her happy and many knew in pain, but not once would she ever show her weakness.... the obstacles she endured to create a life in this great country, for herself and for her children.... of course with the love of her life near by she cod never give up.... she lost him young... very young... and it seem that she would have made it... but the one thing that my mother and my father would drill in head was " Davises Never Give Up" and that is my one lesson over all...course she thought me to love and give love to my children and especially my spouse... the love her and my father had was Neverending... and it showed with every touch, look, kiss, smile, they had this twinkle that would light up a room.... she would tell me her story of how she met my father on a metro bus and her face would light up like x-mas...then she go forward telling me about the life they built and she would glow even more.... then she woul fast forward to present and say how proud she was of my sister and her kids myself and the kids, but especially of Sj My wife, she tell me all the of how she would sit there watch us and know that we found her kind of love...She would tell me " Hey! Just that woman loves you like you don't believe, so don't be stupid... yall have me and daddy's love, take of it... " my mother and I had a fantastic relationship. And towards the end we were best friends. Talked every day shared bullshit stories and laughed and cried together... this will be hard but I am happy that she is now back with her love... I thank God for allowing her in my life all these years... Allowing her to see the man I have become. Allowing her to share her life my and sisters children and I will honor her and my father til the end... Davises Never Give up....
