Maria Lucila Figueroa

Maria was born on March 2, 1929, in Honduras, to her loving parents, Rosario and Filiberto Figueroa.

Throughout her life, Maria devoted herself to serving the Lord, attending church, sharing the Gospel, and speaking to others about the love found in Christ. Her kindness, and wisdom touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Maria found joy in many simple blessings. She loved sewing, reading her Bible, evangelizing, drawing, tending to her flowers, and caring for her garden. Her home was a place of warmth, faith, and encouragement, where she shared her love for God and family with all who entered.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Juan Madrid and son Pedro.

Maria leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory and continue her legacy of faith. She is survived by her children: Pedro, Frank, Tomas, Teodoro, Juan, Agustina, Suyapa, and Dilcia.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Marisol, Ivon, Karla, Lourdes, Ivis, Gladis, Henry, Mauricio, Jolany, Sarahi, Rubi, Wendy, Edwin, Stacy, Jennifer, Jonathan, Samuel, Frank, Jony, Yony, Raquel, Osiris, and Belkis.

Maria's life was a beautiful testimony of faith, devotion, and love. She faithfully served God, nurtured her family, and shared Christ's message with all those around her. Her gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and compassionate heart will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

María Lucila Figueroa, amada madre, abuela falleció en paz el 14 de agosto de 2026, a la edad de 97 años. María nació el 2 de marzo de 1929 en Honduras, hija de Rosario y Filiberto Figueroa.

A lo largo de su vida, su fe en Jesucristo fue el pilar que la sostuvo. Dedicó su vida a servir al Señor, asistir a la iglesia, compartir el Evangelio y hablar a otros sobre el amor y la salvación en Cristo. Su bondad, y sabiduría  profunda convicción espiritual tocaron la vida de todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.

María encontraba alegría en las cosas sencillas de la vida. Le encantaba bordar, leer su Biblia, evangelizar, dibujar, cuidar de sus flores y trabajar en su jardín. Su hogar siempre fue un lugar lleno de amor, fe y esperanza, donde compartía con alegría su amor por Dios y por su familia.

Fue precedida en la muerte por su amado esposo, Juan Madrid y so hijo Pedro.

María deja un legado de amor y fe en su querida familia. Le sobreviven sus hijos: Frank, Tomás, Teodoro, Juan, Agustina, Suyapa y Dilcia.

También le sobreviven sus queridos nietos: Marisol, Ivon, Karla, Lourdes, Ivis, Gladis, Henry, Mauricio, Jolany, Sarahi, Rubí, Wendy, Edwin, Stacy, Jennifer, Jonathan, Samuel, Frank, Jony, Yony, Raquel, Osiris y Belkis.

La vida de María fue un hermoso testimonio de fe, devoción y amor. Sirvió fielmente a Dios, cuidó de su familia y compartió el mensaje de Cristo con todos los que la rodeaban. Su espíritu amable, su fe inquebrantable y su corazón compasivo serán profundamente extrañados, pero siempre recordados por quienes fueron bendecidos con su amistad y cariño.
