Maria Alvarez Flores

It is with deep sadness and great love that we announce the passing of Maria Alvarez Flores, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted wife, who passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 80.

Born on January 26, 1946, in Mexico City, Mexico, she was the daughter of † José Alvarez and † Maria de la Luz Figueroa. She pursued her passion and earned a Bachelor's degree in Education, reflecting her love she placed on learning and the care she had for others.

She married the love of her life, † Manuel S. Flores, on August 25, 1968, in Mexico City. Together they built a beautiful family and a life filled with love, faith, traditions and memories that will continue through generations.

A woman of strong Catholic faith, she was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Her faith remained an important part of her life and helped guide the love, strength, and values she shared with her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, † Manuel S. Flores, and her brothers, † Enrique Alvarez Figueroa, and † Jaime Alvarez Figueroa.

She leaves behind her daughter, Barbara Gonzalez, and husband Jaime Gonzalez; her sons, Jose Flores and wife Pamela Flores, Brandon Flores and wife Yvonne Flores, and Stephen Flores and partner Yasmin Ruiz.

Her memory will also live on through her cherished grandchildren:

Jose Flores, Jonathan Flores, Miranda Flores, Justus Gonzalez, Brianna Gonzalez, Chris Gonzalez, Jovan Flores, Iliana Flores, Elias Flores, and Madelyn Flores, as well as her five great-grandchildren.

To her family, she was so much more than a mother or grandmother.

She was a source of love, guidance, strength, and comfort. The lessons she taught, the traditions she created, and the love she gave so freely will remain a part of her family forever.

Though her absence leaves an immeasurable space in the hearts of those who loved her, her family finds comfort in knowing that a life so deeply loved will never truly be forgotten.

May she rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord and be reunited with those she loved who went before her.

Her love and memory will remain in our hearts forever.
